Mohalla Clinic’s : AAP Ka Abhishaap

Among various other unfulfilled promises made by AAP, lie the basic unfulfilled promises made to provide basic necessities to the economically weaker section of the society. While it may seem like a heartfelt deed by the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party to reach out better to the masses, it now just seems like a bunch of empty promises that were made just in order to win the elections. The Mohalla Clinic’s were one of the most sought after ventures everyone was looking forward to.

The Delhi government sanctioned Rs 209 crores for setting up 1000 ‘mohalla’ clinics in Delhi but in past one year it has opened only one clinic and now it is not even shying away from issuing huge advertisements in leading publication across the country boasting its much-hyped achievement. Except, where are the 99 other clinics? And where is the leftover money being used!?

The first ‘Mohalla’ clinic at a relief camp in Peeragarhi area. But barely two months into its operation, the much-hyped project already starting drawing flak from the residents. Patients are unhappy with its treatment and think that it is like any other government dispensary. The same old problems that people face with most government healthcare facilities are faced here too. Issues like – long queues, shortage of medicine, or other equipment etc are

Even though only one clinic has been set up so far but that too is not devoid of shortcomings and resident living in nearby localities are expressing their dissatisfaction over it. What looked like a boon for the residents initially is now losing its charm owing to lack of proper research and planning.

At the launch of this clinic, the government announced that they will soon launch another 6000 clinics, in-keeping with the pace. But couple of months hence, the plan continues to be at a standstill. Let’s see how far the party can carry this charade forward!

Reduction in ad budget by AAP is an eye wash

Arvind Kejriwal

In a span of two years, the party set aside Rs 726 crores for publicity only

In the maiden budget, the ruling AAP regime had set aside a budget of Rs 526 crores on advertisements and self-publicity. The public money was lavishly spent on the advertisements and hoardings in the city. Even the advertisements were given to the all national newspapers. In all the main editions of national and regional newspapers, the AAP supremo’s ads were published. The party which boasted of its principles of idealism changed its stance after forming the government in the national capital. The exchequer’s money wasted on the luxury flights, personal security and political tours of the Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP breaks all the records in Indian politics

If we talk about the records in Indian politics, then AAP emerged as winner. The credit goes to the AAP national convenor and Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal. In the history of this country, no state’s CM has spent such a huge amount on advertisements and self-publicity. In all the states, the ad budget never crosses Rs 60 to Rs70 crores in a year but in the first year the government lavishly spent Rs 526 crore.

In second budget AAP reduced the ad budget, but in two years the total amount is Rs 726 crore.

Though the AAP government has cut down the ad budget and this time it is Rs 207 crores. One should ask question from the government that this time even the budget is very much higher as compare to the other states. The total calculation of the ad budget of previous year and the present, it is Rs 726 crores. In such a big amount the ruling government could have start the welfare schemes.

For Aam Aadmi Canteen, only Rs 10 crore allocated

The government proposed Aam Aadmi canteens for the migrant population and allocated Rs 10 crore only. A resident of Delhi raised finger at the AAP government that why the government is partial in ad budget and a meagre amount for Aam Aadmi canteens.

One of the beneficiaries, 87-year-old Ram Rakhi, said though she had been living in the same Tilak Nagar residence for years, her pension was abruptly stopped.

Kejriwal government left the senior citizens in lurch

Arvind Kejriwal

The senior citizens in the national capital have accused the AAP government for harassing them by not giving their pensions on time. The pensions are being delayed by AAP government. The senior citizens are crying for their pensions and the Chief Minister of Delhi is engaged in self-publicity. The taxpayer’s money is being spent on the publicity of Kejriwal who had kept aside a huge budget of Rs 526 crore for information and advertisement. The people feel that Kejriwal has brought back the situation of France. In nineteenth century, when France was witnessing economy crisis, the queen was spending money on her personal luxuries. People had approached the queen that they don’t have food, what should they eat? The queens had replied that if they don’t have food then eat cake. The dialogue was resulted in a great revolution in France.
